"DD equals Deep Diver" Listen up all you Pointer fans. Lucky Craft now has a new Pointer minnow to add to their repertoire. The new Pointer 100 DD is a deeper diving version of the popular Pointer 100 SP. This new Pointer 100 DD is a great bait for fishing a few feet deeper than the original 100 SP. This bait will dive about 6-7 feet deep and suspend when paused. It has a wider wobble than the Pointer 100 SP and still has the same body style. This bait can be used for a bigger profile bait in lie of the Staysee 90 SP. When the fish are holding out a little deeper this bait will get in their face and aggravate them to strike.

Lucky Craft Lures revolutionized bass fishing with the introduction of the Pointer Minnow, the first true suspending jerkbait.
Up until that time, suspending jerkbaits were an inexact science. Bass anglers spent hours modifying jerkbaits by drilling, filling and fine-tuning them with various forms of moldable or adhesive lead. The finished product was precarious at best, often requiring constant tinkering or re-weighting during a day of fishing.
Lucky Craft set out to design a minnow imitation that would suspend horizontally in the water column, right out of the package, without having to account for water temperature or line size, and they hit the mark with the Pointer Series.
“The Pointer opened up a whole new frontier of fishing on southeastern impoundments,” claims Marty Stone of North Carolina. “Populations of bass we once discounted as impossible to catch – specifically suspended fish – suddenly became catchable because these lures would get down in the fish’s face and tease them until they couldn’t stand it anymore.”
