This bait has the same profile as the LC 2.5 but was designed to run shallow. The SSR designation stands for "super shallow runner," and the bait excels in shallow water situations or when fishing over aquatic vegetation.

"It's more of a wake bait and a good compliment to a topwater bait; if you are catching them on buzzbaits and walking baits, it's time to throw the LC 2.5 SSR," said Kelly Jordon. "I like it for covering shallow flats during the post-spawn period, especially when bass are still up shallow guarding fry which sit high in the water column. It's also great for shallow creeks and sloughs early in the year when there is a lot of debris like leaves on the bottom that would foul up most crankbaits."
