The LC 1.5 SSR (super shallow runner) has the same profile as the popular LC 1.5 squarebill but with a much shorter lip and different angle. This causes the bait to dive just under the surface, reaching a maximum diving depth of 1-foot. This makes it the ideal bait for fishing in extremely shallow water or above vegetation.
"The bait has an excellent rolling action and great sound," says Brent Ehrler. "I like to point my rod tip up to keep it higher in the water and it will dive around six inches below the surface. If I need it to dive a little deeper, I'll point my rod down and get it down to about a foot below the surface."
