Omori Wins 2004 CITGO Bass Masters Classic
When Takahiro Omori was 15 years old, and living with his family in Japan, he saw a magazine article about the CITGO Bass Masters Classic and knew that someday he would compete in the biggest tournament in the world. This past August Omori did more than just compete; he fulfilled his life long dream of winning the most prestigious tournament in the world.
"This is the best day of my life", said Omori, who also pocketed $200,000 for his win. "I have waited 18 years for my dream to come true-since I was 15. The money is great, but it's not about the money. It is the trophy, really. It is awesome."
With Takahiro Omori winning the 2004 CITGO Bass Masters Classic bass fishing has now truly gone international. Congratulations to a great Champion Takahiro Omori.
